Two Newport Restaurants Named Among Nation's Most Romantic

Both Bouchard Restaurant and Inn on Lower Thames Street, and The Spiced Pear, at the Chanler Hotel, were named to the online media company's list.

Open Table, which provides online bookings and reviews for over 15,000 restaurants across the country, compiled its list by analyzing more than 5 million reviews from diners in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

In all, three Rhode Island restaurants made the list, with Basil’s Restaurant in Narragansett joining Newport's romantic pairing in the national standings.
