A section to Thames Street, was closed on Monday as National Grid worked to repair a section of gas line between Pope and Extension Street.
The city’s paving contractor had been slated to spend Tuesday adjusting the necessary catch basins and manholes during the daytime, weather permitting.
According to the city's public services "At this time the City is still planning on paving on Tuesday (5/1) and Wednesday (5/2) evenings, 9 p.m. – 4 a.m. However, any delay associated with National Grid completing their work or the weather may push the schedule out an extra day. The roadway may be closed intermittently to traffic during the paving operation."
Parking restrictions will remain in place, as posted, until the construction is complete.
Please be advised that vehicles that are not moved will be ticketed and towed.
