As a special offer for fans of the Newport Jazz Festival, Chairman and Producer George Wein has decided to sell general admission two-day passes to the iconic festival for the discounted price of $110 and single-day adult general admission tickets for $60.
Typically, single-day tickets are $81 (including fees) and two-day passes usually cost $144 (including fees).
Here’s the catch: The discounted tickets are only available in person at the Newport Visitors Information Center, 23 America’s Cup Ave and the discounted rate lasts as long as tickets are available.
“It’s always a pleasure to provide special prices to give area residents the opportunity to share their love of jazz with family and friends,” Wein said. “Joining forces with the Convention and Visitors Bureau is a perfect way to share information on our great festival in one of America’s most beautiful cities.”
This year, artists featured at the 2013 Newport Jazz Festival include Wayne Shorter with special guest Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Natalie Cole, Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band, Eddie Palmieri, Esperanza Spalding, Joshua Redman, Terence Blanchard, Robert Glasper Experiment, Hiromi, Gregory Porter, Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Dee Alexander and many more.
