Dante Turano, of Westerly, tends to his soap box derby racer in advance of the 2012 National Soap Box Derby Championships being held in Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio on July 21. It's Turano's second trip to the "big show" following his May 19 Super Stock win.
After cruising to victory on May 19 at the annual Soap Box Derby on Memorial Blvd. in Newport, two of the top winners spent time at Casey's Marina on Tuesday, July 3, prepping their racers for the 2012 National Soap Box Derby Championship in Akron, Ohio, which will be held on July 21.
