NEWPORT -- The Former Salve  Regina University student accused of killing a rabbit with a hockey stick pleaded not guilty on Thursday in Superior Court.

Nicholas Coyle, 20, of Merrimack, N.Y., was charged with malicious injury of an animal, after an incident last November in which the state alleges he used the dead rabbit as a puck.

The former Salve lacross player was released on his own recognisance, and is due back in court next month.

He faces up to two years in prison if convicted.

Animal Abuser

Really???? Not GUILTY??? Come on Nicholas we all know what you did to this poor, harmless animal. How many other animals have you abused and killed in your short life so far? We all know what statistics show how it starts with animals then goes on to humans lives. YOU NEED HELP and prison is what you deserve and may you never be allowed to own any animals in your lifetime.
