A Practice Day Fundraiser for the St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 - 4 p.m. at O'Brien's Pub in Newport. The event will be hosted by George Jones, co-owner of O'Brien's and this year's Grand Marshal of the parade.
The fundraiser will include food, drink, and entertainment by the Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipe and Drum Band, Irish stepdancers, Fishing with Finnegan and other musical guests. Tickets are $25 each and are limited to 200. Advance tickets are available at Hibernian Hall and will also be sold on the day of the event.
This year, the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Saturday, March 16.
