The first major snow storm of 2013 blanketed Newport with roughly 16 inches of snow that began to fall early Friday morning and lasted into the afternoon hours of Saturday, Feb. 9.
Despite knocking out the power to all of Aquidneck Island for the majority of the weekend, the blizzard allowed for some beautiful photos of a snow covered Newport.
