The Seamen's Church Institute will hold its 92nd Annual Meeting next Friday, Nov. 18.
The evening, which is open to dnoros, friends of SCI, and the general public, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a normal business program.
Included in the agenda is a presentation by Mike Holty, a Vietnam Veteran and retired U.S. Navy Officer on the Wounded Warrior Project.
Holty, who has had commands at sea and ashore at the Naval Reserve Center in Boston as well as a defense contractor at NUWC, will provide an overview of the project and its relevance to the mission of the Seamen's Church Institute. He will be joined by Ryan Henderson, USMC Ret., a Wounded Warrior, and Jean Corser, a Wounded Warrior mom with a son now returned to Afghanistan.
The building, located at 18 Market Square in downtown Newport, is fully accessible from Bowen's Wharf.
