NEWPORT – The Newport Police Department, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will be conducting their fourth annual Prescription Drug Take Back Even on Saturday, April 28.
An initiative that seeks to prevent increased pill abuse and theft, the “Take Back” event addresses a vital public safety and public health issue.
The NPD will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction in the lobby of the police department on Broadway from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
