City Council members are scheduled to meeting with their counterparts in the state's General Assembly delegation on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The special joint workshop is a tradition for new councils, and is expected to lay forth the city's legislative priorities for the new year.
The workshop will take place in the Program Room of the Newport Public Libray, 300 Spring St., at 10 a.m., and the public is encouraged to attend.
