Fifth-grade students and teachers celebrate Thompson Middle School’s “College Day” (L-R): Lillian Ratcliff, student; Elizabeth Taylor, student; Ashley Ford, student; Christina Camardo, teacher; Alyssa Dupree, student; Margie Brennan, teacher; Mia Mo
Teachers and students recently donned college gear during Thompson Middle School’s second official “College Day”.
Throughout the day, teachers shared websites, photographs, diplomas, and stories about their higher education experiences. Students wore tee-shirts and sweatshirts commemorating universities their family members have attended, or institutions they dream of attending.
The celebration was conceptualized by Principal Jaime Crowley to encourage students’ future plans and to expose them to a rich array of higher education locations, degrees, and experiences.
