Several students from Thompson Middle School and Rogers High School performed in their year’s Rhode Island Music Educators Association All-State Festival. The Senior Jazz Ensemble concert was on March 22 at URI and the Jr. Orchestra, Senior Orchestra, Senior Band, Treble Chorus and Senior Chorus performed on March 25 at Veteran’s Auditorium in Providence.
Thompson Middle School Students:
Pearl Emerson, grade 7 – Treble Chorus
Michael Garvey, grade 7 – Junior Orchestra
Ian Chase, grade 8 – Junior Orchestra
Rogers High School:
Tyler Louie, grade 10 – Senior Orchestra
Chase Ceglie, grade 11 – Senior Band and Jazz Ensemble
Ashley Morris, grade 11 – Senior Chorus
Michael Finn, grade 12 – Senior Orchestra
In addition to the above, Ceglie and a member of the RHS Jazz Ensemble will perform this summer along with the RI Music Educators Senior Division All-State Jazz Ensemble at the Newport Jazz Festival.
