Rogers High School sophomore, Alison Thompson, will attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Program May 18 – 20, in Brewster, Mass. The program is a unique opportunity for tomorrow’s leaders to gain hands-on experience in developing leadership skills with a focus on community service. RYLA also provides opportunities for RYLA Alumni to step forward and work with Rotarians and other organizations to put their leadership skills into action through the coordination of leadership seminars and community service projects throughout the year. RHS senior, Hannah Horan will be attending the program as a RYLA alum.
Thompson was chosen for RYLA for her leadership potential and was awarded the opportunity to attend the all-expenses-paid conference to discuss leadership skills and to learn those skills through practice. Each year, thousands of young people take part in the program worldwide.
