The Museum of Newport Irish History will hold its 3rd Annual "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" benefit for the Museum's Interpretive Center on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m.

The event features a full evening of Irish musical entertainment plus a silent auction. "Irish Eyes" is presented at Ochre Court, Salve Regina University, 100 Ochre Point Ave.

Tickets are $65 per person and include complimentary cocktails, food stations, desserts and cordials, and musical entertainment.  The featured performer is Celtic and classical violinist, Sheila Falls, a recording artist and All-Ireland Fiddle Champion.  Also performing that night will be Mary King, a Rhode Island-based Celtic harpist, and three traditional Irish musicians, Jack Wright, Tim May and A.O. Gutierrez, who lead the weekly Irish music “session” at the Fastnet Pub in Newport.

Guests will be welcomed to Ochre Court by Newport-based bagpiper, Amy Burnes.

Tickets may be purchased on the Museum’s website: www.NewportIrishHistory.org (click “Events”) or by contacting Deanna Casey at 847-7156 or caseydj@cox.net. All tickets will be held at the door.
