Newport Now is an independent, locally-owned media company that believes simply, Local News Matters.
Founded in 2009, Newport Now serves as the online home of Newport This Week, a 15,000-circulation weekly newspaper that for the last 40 years has been serving the communities of Newport, Middletown and Jamestown, R.I. Like most, we recognize that the media world is changing. Combining the traditional reach of a print publication with the daily relevance of an online product, Newport Now and Newport This Week are uniquely positioned in the state's media landscape as its only free web-driven newspaper.
