NEWPORT, R.I. – For the ninth consecutive year, a one-day-only designer wreath sale will benefit Lucy’s Hearth in Middletown.

Although categorized as an “emergency shelter,” Lucy’s Hearth is much more.   Proceeds from this important fundraising event support this transitional housing program which accommodates nine homeless women and their children while encouraging the mothers to get the tools they need to stay afloat – by obtaining their GED, pursuing job training or going to work. The mothers also participate in parenting classes and receive financial counseling to learn how to budget money; when they move out of the shelter, follow-up support from the Hearth’s staff ensures continued success.   Start your holiday decorating while supporting

Lucy’s Hearth in helping families who are working every day to build a better future.   For more information:  www.lucyshearth.org.
