NEWPORT, R.I. – Tennis Week is upon us, and while rain has dampened much of the action on the courts so far, it’s important not to forget that there’s more than just serve and volleying going on at the Casino this week.
For the 10th year, Angela Moore will host a seated fashion show featuring Newport’s fun summer looks including Lilly Pulitzer, Manuel Canovas and more.
Guest appearances will include Tennis Hall of Famer Bud Collins, NBC 10 sports anchor Frank Carpano and ATP tournament stars. Proceeds from the show, as well as 15 percent of sales from the Angela Moore Tennis Tales collection will be donated to the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
And if you can’t make it to the show, never fear. The fun continues after the Fashion Show with a Summer Style Party at the Angela Moore boutique on Bellevue Avenue from noon to 6 p.m.
Join Angela Moore as she hosts a Summer Style Party at her award winning boutique. Enjoy informal modeling featuring the celebrated designers new summer collections as well as fashions from Lilly Pulitzer and Manuel Canovas. Sip some champagne and indulge in tasty treats. Come meet Hall of Fame star Bud Collins and other ATP tournament stars. Fabulous prizes will be given away throughout the afternoon. 15 percent of the proceeds from the Angela Moore Tennis Tales collection will be donated to the International Hall of Fame that day.
Variety 99.3 fm will be broadcasting live news feeds from the store from 3-5pm. Amy Pontes will also be giving away fabulous prizes including gift certificates to local restaurants as well as spas and shows. And at 4 p.m., Mr. Tennis (an ATP Star to be announced) will be signing tennis balls.
